My name is Helen

Circa Art & Design was created by Canberra designer and artist, Helen Pizzano, to showcase her unique kaleidoscope art style and the beautiful print and silk products featuring her designs.

Creating circle art from her photos of natural and urban environments, Helen draws your attention to the amazing and unique colours and textures found all around us.

Helen studied Asian Studies and History at UWA in Perth. After moving to Canberra and 16 years in the Public service, Helen took a redundancy to follow her creative passion.   Studying Visual Art at CIT and now at ANU, Helen is sharing her unique perspective on the world.

Using the kaleidoscope technique, Helen takes her carefully focused and curated photos to create digital circles using computer graphics software. These images are printed to Giclee art paper and to 100% pure silk to make these exquisite products.

Helen’s philosophy is to surround yourself with beautiful things to add value and comfort to your lives. Observing her life and those of her friends, its easy to see how we can get struck in the “rat race” and trapped in routines that stifle us.

The Circa Art & Design Collections are styled to add luxury and a little substance to our lives and provide that little 'pick-me-up' when required. Her images help you stop and appreciate the beauty in humble surroundings.
